Sip Herbals is a coffee-alternative CPG and e-commerce brand that aims to help you have better mornings without the jitters using sustainable ingredients for natural, sustained energy.

Sip Herbals approached Hey Intercom for email & sms marketing strategy, design and development via Klaviyo. Their customers loved them. However, digital communication was inconsistent, with an outdated welcome flow didn’t reflect their vibrant refreshed branding that they were excited about, or met their customer where they were.

Our masterplan to warm up their customers and get them to indulge.

Our goal was to refine their customer acquisition strategy and reduce friction from discovery to conversion and ultimately, retention through their subscription program.

We also aimed to shift their messaging away from promotional-only and emphasize storytelling and connection—helping customers understand the brand and buy in emotionally, not just transactionally.

01. Redeveloped their automated flows including welcome series, post-purchase series, return customer series, and abandoned cart series to reduce customer drop-off upon acquisition.


02. Planned consistent monthly email campaigns to reflect updated branding, relevant holidays and timely promotions.


03. Migrated SMS contacts to Postscript, reactivating their SMS channel and developed SMS-based automations to meet customers at each touchpoint.


04. Developed an SMS strategy during BFCM ‘24 to optimize engagement and conversion during the busiest season of the year.


05. Synced and optimized their review platform to reduce friction for customer feedback and streamline social proof.

+216.8% increase in revenue from the revamped email Welcome Flow series including redesign and strategic logic mapping that was timely and personalized to meet new customers immediately after acquisiton.


+25.62% increase of subscriber conversion from SMS welcome conversational flows.


+3% incremental increase in average open rate over 6 months from weekly email campaigns without heavy promotion of sales.
